This will be the last weekend for organized snow activities at Paradise.
Grooming of the snowplay area and ranger-led snowshoe walks will end for the season on Sunday, according to Mount Rainier National Park officials.
The snowplay area is the only place in the park where sledding is allowed.
The snowshoe walks are offered at 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign up at the Henry M. Jackson Memorial Visitor Center information desk beginning one hour before the start time.
Never miss a local story.
Even though organized activities are ending, that doesn’t mean there isn’t a chance for some fun. There are 200 inches of snow on the ground at Paradise, more than enough for skiers, snowboarders and snowshoers.
