• Salmon fishing has been slow on the South Sound.
• Sockeye fishing opens on the Skagit on June 16.
Crabbing will be allowed Thursdays through Mondays. The crab fishing season is scheduled to remain open through Sept. 7.
Several other areas of Puget Sound are scheduled to open for crabbing on July 2.
Marine Area 13 (south of the Tacoma Narrows Bridges) is already open but action has been slow, according to the Point Defiance Boathouse Marina.
