  • Two suspected burglars apprehended after Bigelow neighborhood search

    Two men suspected of committing a burglary in rural Thurston County were arrested Friday afternoon in Olympia after a manhunt in the Bigelow neighborhood.

    Olympia police and Thurston County sheriff’s cruisers lined the streets between East Bay Drive and Puget Street on Friday afternoon, canvassing the area with a K-9 search dog.

    Olympia police spokeswoman Laura Wohl said the men were allegedly interrupted in the middle of a residential burglary off Jenni Street in the Boston Harbor area. They then fled in a car that was found on Quince Street by Olympia police officers.
