The Republican Governors Association filed an amended report with state campaign-finance officials today. The effect is it shows RGA really has put $5.5 million into its Washington State RGA PAC for use in the governor's race.
Data on file with the state Public Disclosure Commission on Tuesday showed the RGA PAC had added $3.5 million in recent days, raising its total donations to $7.5 million with $4.5 million available to spend.
PDC spokeswoman Lori Anderson said the amended report now shows the smaller figure and that RGA PAC has closer to $2.5 million to spend down the stretch in the Nov. 4 election.
RGA is backing G.O.P. candidate Dino Rossi and criticizing Democratic Gov. Chris Gregoire.
