PDC adding campaign finance tools to web

The state’s campaign finance watchdog agency is rolling out a new tool for voters and political operatives alike. The goal is to make it easier for anyone who looks up who is giving and getting cash in campaigns this year.

The Public Disclosure Commission is demonstrating its new system at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 24, at the commission’s headquarters in Room 206, 711 S. Capitol Way, Olympia.

Agency spokeswoman Lori Anderson said in an announcement the new features include “at-a-glance contribution and expenditure totals,” integration of candidate and third-party financial data and “easy comparisons of opposing candidates’ data.’’
