Big night of preps

• Published November 03, 2009

There are plenty of high school postseason events going on Tuesday night.

The biggest one is the wacky five-way football tiebreaker (Aberdeen, Elma, Hoquiam, Centralia, River Ridge) in the Evergreen Conference. That will take place tonight at 6 p.m. at South Sound Stadium. A five-way tiebreaker has never happened in Western Washington, so this is your chance to witness something special. Five teams are shooting for one playoff spot. The survivor of the tiebreaker will play Mark Morris (8-1) at 5 p.m. Saturday.

Other events include:

Girls soccer
3A subdistrict: North Kitsap at Capital, 6 p.m.; Port Angeles at Yelm, 6 p.m.; Timberline at Olympic, 6 p.m.
2A district (winner-to-state games): Centralia at Hockinson, 4 p.m.; Chehalis at Ridgefield, 6 p.m.; Washougal at Black Hills (Tumwater District Stadium), 5:30 p.m.; Mark Morris at Tumwater, 7:30 p.m.

Volleyball
3A subdistrict: North Kitsap at Capital, 6 p.m.; Port Angeles at Timberline, 6 p.m.
