Bears earn seventh:
After its 3-1 loser-out win over Skyview on late Thursday, Olympia earned the seventh-place trophy following its 3-1 loss to Lewis and Clark on Friday night.
Black Hills into semis:
The Wolves advanced to the semifinals Saturday after their quarterfinals win over Selah, 3-1. It was Selah that knocked out Black Hills in last year's semifinals. Black Hills will play Pullman at 2 p.m.
Capital, Timberline in consolation games: Capital outlasted Holy Names, 3-2, Friday morning, but dropped a 3-1 set to Mount Spokane to move into the consolation bracket. They will play Seattle Prep at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. It was Mount Spokane that beat Timberline, 3-1, in the Blazers' opening-round match. The Blazers will play Holy Names at 9 a.m. Saturday.
