Recap: Seattle vs. Green Bay

Aaron Rodgers threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns to give the Green Bay Packers a 27-17 victory over the Seattle Seahawks at Qwest Field.

Rodgers completed 21-of-30 passes and ran for a score to lead the Packers (3-3), who ended a three-game losing streak. Ryan Grant rushed for 90 yards on 33 carries, and Greg Jennings hauled in five catches for 84 yards and a touchdown.

"I thought we played very well throughout the major situations, controlled the time possession," Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said. "The long drives we sustained were a big factor. I'm very pleased with the victory. I thought it was a smartly played victory by our football team."

The Packers outgained the Seahawks 313-177, as Green Bay limited Seattle to just 64 yards passing. The victors were also able to convert on 10-of-17 third down chances, while the Seahawks only went 4-for-11 in their opportunities.

"We did a nice job of third down conversions today," Rodgers said. "It enabled us to keep the drives alive. It's never fun losing, and it's a very big win for our team. I'm very proud of the way we finished the game."

Charlie Frye, starting in place of an injured Matt Hasselbeck, passed for just 83 yards on 12-of-23 passing, while throwing for two touchdowns and two interceptions for the Seahawks (1-4), who dropped four of their opening five games for the first time since 2002, when they finished 7-9. John Carlson and Keary Colbert each had a touchdown reception, and Julius Jones ran for 44 yards on 12 carries.

"This is a group of high-character guys who are going to take responsibility," Frye said. "You don't hear guys making excuses. You don't hear that stuff. That is what is so encouraging. That's why we can believe that we can turn this thing around with the type of leadership on this team. You don't see that everywhere."

Hasselbeck missed Sunday's game with a sore right knee after injuring himself in last week's lopsided loss to the New York Giants. The quarterback was held out of practice all week and was not able to suit up for the match up. He was placed on the team's inactive list prior to game time.
