A second planning workshop for Lake Sylvia and Schafer state parks is set for 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 19 at Montesano City Hall, 112 N Main St., according to the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission.

The workshop will focus on comments from park visitors and others made during the first stage of the planning process.

“An alternative report will be presented” at the upcoming meeting, parks planner Brian Hovis said in a news release.

“The comments we received in stage one of the process are intriguing ideas to consider and explore.”

For more information about the planning process and a link to the Lake Sylvia and Schafer state parks area, go to www.parks.wa.gov/plans. To be added to the mailing list, have copies of the alternatives report mailed to you or ask for special accommodations to attend the workshop, call Hovis at 360-902-8635.
