Thurston County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Jodi Erikson-Muldrew is running for the vacant Thurston County District Judge position that was created after the recent death of C.L. "Kip" Stilz.
Two other attorneys, defense attorney Sam Meyer and Assistant Attorney General Greg Rosen, announced earlier that they are running for the judgeship.
A three-day filing period for the judgeship runs Tuesday through Thursday, according to Thurston County Auditor's Office.
Declarations of candidacy for the judgeship will be accepted between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Auditor's Office, 2000 Lakeridge Drive S.W., Olympia.
Erikson-Muldrew, a 1995 graduate of Seattle University Law School, will kick off her campaign from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 5 at the Olympia Golf and Country Club. She worked as a public defender in Island, San Juan and Thurston counties, before joining the Thurston County Prosecuting Attorney's Office in 2000. She leads the office's Domestic Violence Team and is a member of the advisory board of the State Patrol's Missing and Exploited Children's Task Force.
