Three more candidates are running for Thurston County District Court, bringing the field to six lawyers running to replace the Judge C.L. "Kip" Stilz, whose recent death created the judicial opening.

In order of filing, the candidates are Greg Rosen, Jim Foley, Sam Meyer, Jodi Erickson-Muldrew and Jamie M. Moore, all of Olympia, and William Bayness of Tenino. Three announced their plans ahead of the three-day filing period that ends at 5 p.m. today: Rosen, an assistant attorney general; Meyer, a defense attorney; and Erickson-Muldrew, a deputy county prosecuting attorney.

Foley filed Tuesday and issued a news release Wednesday saying he is a 16-year lawyer and pro tempore judge in the court. His background includes service as Raymond city attorney and prosecutor and as attorney for ports including Shelton's, the release says. He also was the Pacific County Bar Association president in 1992-93.

Announcing Wednesday were Jamie M. Moore, an administrative law judge for the Department of Revenue and the Thurston County Bar Association president in 2006. Moore said in a news release that she "served as a court-appointed mediator and guardian ad litem for children and vulnerable adults" and provided judge pro tem services in the District and Superior courts.

Moore's announcement said she plans a campaign kickoff at 5:30 p.m. July 24 at 1820 Rose St. N.E. in Olympia. For more information, e-mail info@jamiemooreforjudge.com.

Rosen has a kickoff at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Schmidt Mansion, 330 Schmidt Place S.W., Tumwater. For more information, call 360-280-2533.
