Hollywood Video briefly closes after fire
A Hollywood Video store at 2106 Harrison Ave. N.W. closed for about four hours Saturday after an electrical short started a fire on the roof near the sign for the business, a fire official said.
Olympia Fire Department Battalion Chief Doug Hewell said the fire started at 1:30 p.m. and caused about $2,500 in damage. To fight the fire, firefighters shut off power to the video store and evacuated three nearby businesses, Hewell said.
The fire was extinguished in about 20 minutes, but the store remained close until a junction box was repaired on the building's roof. It reopened at 5 p.m., a store employee said.
