Sex offender registers as transient
The Thurston County Sheriff's Office is notifying the public that Level 2 sex offender James L. Bramer has registered to live in the county as a transient.
Bramer pleaded guilty April 18 in Thurston County Superior Court to one count of third-degree child molestation and fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation. He was sentenced to six months in prison on the first count and one year for the second count, with all 365 days suspended. He also was sentenced to 24 months of community supervision. The conviction stems from Bramer, at 36, having sexual contact with a 15-year-old girl he knew and her 16-year-old friend.
Bramer is described as a white male, 5 feet 8 inches and 235 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. He is under community supervision.
For information about Bramer or any other transient sex offender in Thurston County, call detective F.M. Frawley at 360-754-2894.
