Sex offender registers as transient

The Thurston County Sheriff's Office is notifying the public that Level 2 sex offender Jean L. Nall, 43, has registered to live in Thurston County as a transient.

On Feb. 13, 2003, Nall pleaded guilty in Spokane County Superior Court to two counts of second-degree child molestation. He was sentenced to 31 months of confinement for each count, to run concurrently. He also was sentenced to 36 months of community supervision. The conviction stems from Nall, at 37, sexually abusing, exploiting and exposing himself to his 10-year-old daughter on or between July 12 and July 18, 2002.

Nall is described as a white male, 6 feet 1 inch and 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

For information about Nall or any other sex offender registered as a transient in Thurston County, call detective F.M. Frawley at 360-754-2894.

Lewis County

Missing woman found unhurt in woods

Search-and-rescue workers found a 33-year-old Glenoma woman about 9 a.m. Sunday after searching all night, according to the Centralia Police Department.

The woman had been reported missing at 11 p.m. Saturday, when she hadn't returned from picking mushrooms. Searches found her about two miles from where she'd last been seen, about five miles south of Randle, off of U.S. Highway 12. She was cold and hungry, but otherwise unharmed.

Search-and-rescue teams from Lewis, Thurston, Cowlitz and Pierce counties searched for the woman with ground teams, search dogs, horses and all-terrain vehicles.

Sheriff Steve Mansfield advises people to bring a map and compass and appropriate clothing when going into the woods.

Four adults, 2 juveniles arrested after party

Six Thurston County residents — four adults and two juveniles — were arrested early Sunday morning following a party in Centralia, the Centralia Police Department reported.

The six surrounded an apartment in the 2000 block of Russell Road about 4:50 a.m. and beat on the windows and doors while yelling threats, according to a news memo. One had a baseball bat, but there were no other weapons, officer John Panco said.

The six were at a party earlier in the night with the occupants of the apartment, he said.

Four men were booked into the Lewis County jail and two juvenile males were booked into Lewis County Juvenile Detention on charges of felony harassment and assault. Names, ages and hometowns were not available.

The Lewis County Sheriff's Office and Chehalis Police Department also assisted.
