THE OLYMPIAN | • Published September 15, 2009

Dave Peeler will become People for Puget Sound’s director of programs Wednesday, the group announced.

Peeler, who is running for a seat on the Olympia Port Commission, replaces Naki Stevens, who will serve as the executive policy adviser on Puget Sound for the Department of Natural Resources.

Peeler, who lives near Olympia, retired last year after more than 30 years with the Department of Ecology.
