Black Hills High School has hired Dominic Yarrington as its new football coach, athletic director Don Farler announced Thursday.
Not only is Northwest Christian High School junior Karen Bulger ranked No. 1 in the state in the javelin, but her mark of 157 feet, 4 inches from last Saturdays Kent-Meridian Invitational ranks her first nationally, according to times and marks registered on the track and field website athletic.net.
North Thurstons winning streak is at five games after its 14-1 3A Narrows League baseball victory over Wilson, paced by Tyler Ridgeways five strikeouts in six innings pitched. Ridgeway also had a home run. North Thurston has scored double-digit runs in four of its last five games.
