• Chris Solinksy, the American record-holder for the 10,000 meters, and Dawn Harper, a 2008 Olympic gold medalist, will be at South Sound Running in Olympia at 5 p.m. Wednesday. Solinksy became the first American to break 27 minutes in the 10,000 last year (26 minutes, 59.60 seconds, knocking 14 seconds off the American record). Harper won the 100-meter hurdles at the Beijing Olympics in a time of 12.54, a personal best. The event is part of South Sound Running’s ongoing series of Spike Nite.
