Capital’s Rachel Erickson threw a five-inning no-hitter to help the Cougars beat Foss, 12-0, in Narrows 3A softball. Erickson drove in two and scored twice while Jenna Thill and Sammy Williamson each added two runs and two hits.
Amanda Rupright pitched a shutout while racking up nine strikeouts to help Olympia pick up a 4-0 win over Central Kitsap. Lexi Sanderlin scored two runs and Gabby Braniff drove in two for the Bears.
Yelm pitcher Tessa Matthews struck out five in the 13-4 victory over 3A Narrows rival Timberline. Matthews also scored three runs with two hits and a walk.
River Ridge’s Jeremy Camacho was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a stolen base while pitching seven innings and striking out eight to help the Hawks beat 2A Evergreen foe Centralia, 4-1, in the first game of a baseball doubleheader. Brad Wallace drove in two runs with a triple and sacrifice fly. In game two, River Ridge’s Jens Omdal had two hits and three stolen bases in the 4-0 loss to North Thurston. The Rams’ Riley Stordahl threw a complete game and struck out nine.
