Washington Huskies basketball signee Markelle Fultz continues to bolster his status as an elite recruit.
On Monday, Fultz was named to the roster for the USA Basketball junior national select team that will compete in the 2016 Nike Hoop Summit in Portland.
Fultz, a 6-foot-4 guard from DeMatha Catholic High School in Maryland, is rated by Scout.com as a 5-star prospect and the No. 7 overall player in the class of 2016. He signed a binding national letter of intent with the Huskies on Nov. 13. UW coach Lorenzo Romar described Fultz as “the most dynamic guard coming in the door that we have signed in my 14 years here.”
