You could say that the Life Christian Academy girls’ soccer team got a feel for the back of the net during its home game Friday night as they shutout Onalaska 9-0.
Amanda Hamel and Tyler Taff had three goals apiece as the Eagles’ offensive pressure could not be stopped. Alea Yun added two goals and Amy Bogue chipped in with one goal for Life Christian Academy.
Goalkeeper Mary Chapman earned the shutout for the Eagles.

3A Narrows League Championships: The North Thurston High School girls swimming team won the league meet held at Foss High School, scoring a tournament-high 304 points, five points higher then second place Wilson, who finished with 299. Capital took third with 255.
North Thurston won the 200 medley relay finishing with a time of 1 minute, 55.85 seconds with Arielle Howell taking first in the 50 freestyle (25.85) and Maya Lawson-Rivera winning the 100 breaststroke (1:10.17).
4A Narrows League Championships: Gig Harbor edged Stadium during the Class 4A meet scoring 364 points. Stadium finished second with 356 and Olympia ended up in third, scoring 298.
The Tides won the 200 medley relay, finishing with a time of 1:53.59, and Ursula Andren won the 100 breaststroke, posting a time of 1:07.82.
Stadium had seven first place finishes, but was unable to clinch the league title.
3A South Puget Sound League tournament: Bryan Thornquist of Auburn High defeated Sumner’s Zaylan Jacobson in the finals, 6-3, 6-1, to claim the league singles title.
Francesc Gallart of Peninsula finished third and Sumner’s Gabe Smith ended in fourth.
Auburn Riverside brothers Colby and Adrian Tong won the doubles title.
BOYS WATER POLO
Bainbridge 8, Newport 7: Miles Hogger and Harrison Shinohara combined for six goals for the winning Spartans with Ben Golan scoring three times and Scott Griffin twice for the Knights.
Graham-Kapowsin 3, Rogers 0: The Eagles shut out the Rams 25-23, 25-18, 25-10 and were led by Jordan Keane, who finished with 26 assists and 10 digs and Hannah Barbaur serving up one ace and 11 digs.
Kent-Meridian 3, Mount Rainier 0: In a 4A SPSL matchup, the Royals blanked the Rams 25-20, 25-23, 25-19. Megan Houston served up 2 aces and 10 kills for Mount Rainier.
Northwest Christian 3, Seattle Christian 0: The Navigators defeated the Warriors in straight sets 25-19, 25-18, 25-20. Heidi Sowers led Northwest Christian with seven kills with Kayla Powell chipping in with four aces.
