Rain along the eastern seaboard washed out several games Tuesday night - including both games in the Big Apple.
The Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees fell victim to the wet stuff, as did the Colorado Rockies and New York Mets.
The game was called off in Queens shortly after the Yankees scrubbed a scheduled start against the Orioles, one borough over in the Bronx.
No makeup date was announced for the Orioles-Yankees game. The Mets and Rockies will play a doubleheader Thursday after today’s regularly scheduled game because it’s Colorado’s only trip to New York this season.
It was the second rainout at Yankee Stadium in a week. Minnesota and New York were washed out last Wednesday night.
The Milwaukee Brewers’ game against the Pittsburgh Pirates also was postponed because of rain.
No makeup date was announced.
Rain had fallen throughout the day in Pittsburgh, where temperatures were in the mid-40s. It was not expected to let up until today.
