Video shows panicked skiers being launched from and abandoning a malfunctioning chair lift at a ski resort in the former Soviet republic of Georgia. According to news reports, the lift was made by Doppelmayr, the same Austrian-Swiss company that installed chairs at Crystal Mountain ski resort.
The chain’s CEO said the plan is to liquidate all U.S. stores, and likely those in Australia, France, Poland, Portugal and Spain. Stores in Canada, central Europe and Japan would remain open for potential buyers for those assets. Some 30,000 employees could be without jobs.

A Navy fighter jet crashed on March 14, while it was on approach to Boca Chica Field, Naval Air Station, Key West, Florida. A pilot and weapons system officer were onboard the jet, and were both declared dead by the Navy. A statement from the Naval Air Force Atlantic region said the two aviators were conducting a training flight in a F/A-18F Super Hornet at the time of the crash. The incident is being investigated by the Navy.
