Today - Saturday: Tee off for the arts

As the winter doldrums hit their peak, the inside of The Washington Center for the Performing Arts is turned into a golfing oasis for the Big Mini Golf Classic. There will be a chipping contest on stage and “watering holes” in various spots so no one has to wait until the 19th hole. The fun starts at 6 p.m. Friday night, and dinner will be served; Saturday’s Family Day begins at 11 a.m. and includes an inflatable obstacle course and face painting. Call 360-753-8586. The center is at 512 Washington St. S.E., Olympia.

Today - Sunday: Poetic, sweet, realistic

This is the last weekend to take in the Ireland-Liverpool romance of Olympia Little Theatre’s “Sea Marks.” The play will take you into the story of Colin Primrose and Timothea Stiles, two would-be lovers separated by the open sea and different ways of life. Shows are at 7:55 p.m. today and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $12 and are available at Yenney Music, 404 Harrison Ave., or by going to www.brownpapertickets.com or calling 800-838-3006.

Sunday: Here come the brides

If you’re planning your big day this year, the South Sound Wedding Show is where you’ll want to be this Sunday. Meet wedding professionals, enjoy two fashion shows, shop for couture gowns at a discount (while raising money to fight breast cancer) and enjoy dancing by Arthur Murray dancers. The show is at Great Wolf Lodge, 20500 Old Highway 99 S.W., Grand Mound, with hours from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission is $8 at the door. Call 360-480-5095.

Thursday: Ancient cultures brought to life

Discover the energy, beauty and history of the ancient cultures of the Americas and the Pacific at the Living Legends show Thursday at The Washington Center for the Performing Arts, 512 Washington St. S.E., Olympia.
