Where to find Easter eggs in the South Sound

The Easter Bunny will be very busy this weekend. Here’s where you and your children can find some of the iconic bunny’s treasures.


19th Annual Easter Egg Dash: More than 20,000 colorful eggs will be nestled in the large grassy area behind the stadium at Tumwater High School, at 700 Israel Road SW. Kids can collect eggs filled with candy, toys and prize coupons beginning with ages 3 and younger at 11 a.m., ages 4-6 at 11:15 a.m., and ages 7-10 at 11:30 a.m. Bring a basket to carry home what you find. Lattin’s Country Cider Mill & Farm Easter Egg Hunt: The hunt begins at 1 p.m., but come early and enjoy the animals, games, and lots of food. Separate hunts will be conducted for children ages 2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-10. The farm is located at 9402 Rich Road SE, Olympia. Farm hours are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Parking is $5 per car.

Project Easter Basket: Barb O’Neill’s Family & Friends will be handing out free Easter baskets to the community from noon to 3 p.m. at The United Churches, 110 11th Ave., Olympia.

Community Easter Egg Dash: The dash will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Hidden Creek Community Church, 1807 Ninth Avenue SW, Olympia. The hunt will be inside the church, rain or shine, for three age groups: 4 and younger, 5 years to first grade, and second and third grade. Two bikes are the grand prize in each age group. Olympia Lodge No. 1 Easter Egg Hunt: The first dash begins at 4 p.m. Easter Sunday, with three age groups for children as old as 12. Park at South Sound Manor, 455 North St. SE, Tumwater, and follow signs to the egg area. Photos with the Easter Bunny will be available for $5. Donations benefit SafePlace.

Olympia Eagles Easter Egg Hunt: The hunt kicks off at 2 p.m. at Priest Point Park, 2600 East Bay Drive. Age groups are 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12. Children with special needs will have their own hunt at noon. For more information, call Chris at 360-481-3410.
