Authorities in Thurston County say they seized more than $54,000 worth of drugs Friday as part of a drug trafficking investigation.
Starting at about 6 a.m. Friday, members of the Thurston County Narcotics Task Force executed search warrants at 5931 191st Ave. SW in Rochester and 6717 Henderson Boulevard Road SW in Tumwater, according to a task force news release.
They seized about 3 pounds of methamphetamine, heroin, packaging material, scales, cash, three loaded handguns and two loaded rifles. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $54,500.
A 45-year-old man was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Thurston County jail on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver while armed and five counts of first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, according to the release.

The task force includes the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office, Washington State Patrol, the state’s Department of Corrections and other agencies.
On Thursday, the task force seized $63,500 worth of drugs from a home in Yelm.
