STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART is a United Way fundraiser offering food, wine, and socializing from 7-9:30 p.m. Feb. 7 at Lucky Eagle Casino in Rochester. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on a variety of silent auction items, and can participate in a live auction. SOUP & SONG BENEFIT CONCERT, a fundraiser for Love INC, is planned for 6 p.m. Feb. 7 at Shelton Presbyterian Church, 1430 Shelton Springs Road. Suggested donation is $10. The evening will feature performances by local musicians, soups donated by Mason County restaurants, stories from people helped by Love INC, and a dessert auction. Love INC’s Gap Ministries provide job search mentoring, clothes and backpacks for school children, firewood, and household goods to people who are getting back on their feet. A REALLY BIG SHOE 9: ROCKIN’ TO THE JUKEBOX — 1950-1985 is a benefit for homeless and needy children in Thurston and Mason counties. The show is set for 2 p.m. March 8 at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts, 512 Washington St. SE, Olympia. Entertainment Explosion, the troupe that puts on the show, has over the years raised and distributed more than $184,000 in funds for children in need in the Olympia, Tumwater, North Thurston, Shelton, Yelm, Rainier, Tenino and Rochester school districts.
