Top Teen Chef Camp runs this week at Bayview

Teens can learn how to plan for and make a special-occasion meal at Bayview School of Cooking’s Top Teen Chef Camp, which runs from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

Instructor Melanie Shelton will guide students ages 14-18 through technique-based preparations. Students in the $150 course receive an 8-inch sauté pan. Here are the days’ menus:

Tuesday — Appetizer Course & Salad: Grilled Skewered Shrimp laced in Zucchini Ribbons with Roasted Red Pepper Coulis, as well as Seasonal Greens tossed in an Apple and Parsley Vinaigrette served with Avocado, Apples and Toasted Pecans in Parmesan Baskets.

Wednesday — Main Entrée and Sides: Salmon En Croute (wrapped in Puff Pastry) with Béarnaise Sauce, Duchesse Potatoes, and Oven Roasted Green Beans with Hazelnuts and Mustard Glaze.

Thursday — Dessert: Poppy Seed Angel Food Cake with Lime Curd and Fresh Raspberry Sherbet.
