Ebert will review movies on PBS show

CHICAGO - Roger Ebert will appear on a new television movie review show, and the "thumbs up and thumbs down" reviews he made famous are back.

The Chicago Sun-Times film critic announced Friday that he and his wife, Chaz Ebert, are producing “Roger Ebert Presents At the Movies.” The show begins in January on public television.

Ebert will have his own segment on the show called “Roger’s Office.” Cancer surgeries have left Ebert unable to speak or eat, but he will use his computer voice to review new movies and talk about the state of film.

The Eberts say the show will feature co-host Christy Lemire of The Associated Press and contributing critic Elvis Mitchell of National Public Radio.
