Deputies are looking for Loretta A. Purcell, 37, who last was seen Sunday afternoon in a wooded area off Lynch Road when she and her male companion became separated while picking mushrooms.

A search began Tuesday morning. It will cover about 6 square miles and involves more than 30 searchers, organizers say.

Purcell, 37, is a white female, 5 feet, 6 inches and about 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She last was seen wearing a tan jacket, a gray sweater, a pink baseball-type cap, camouflage pants and tennis shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Mason County Sheriff’s Office at 360-427-7761.
