Man's body found in Chehalis River

Lewis County authorities are trying to identify a body found Sunday morning in the Chehalis River.

Duck hunters reported seeing the body downstream from the Fort Borst Park boat launch in Centralia about 7:50 a.m., according to The Chronicle of Centralia.

Deputies recovered the body, which appears to be that of a male between 40 and 50 years old, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

An autopsy is expected early this week, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
