About an inch of snow was expected to cover the Olympia area Sunday afternoon and evening, which may make this morning's commute a little more slippery than normal, according to the National Weather Service.
According to the Weather Service, Sunday overnight and this morning’s lows were expected to be in the high 20s, which is below freezing, but today’s high was expected to reach 39 degrees. Showers in the afternoon might start as snow, but they were expected to turn into rain in the later evening, according to National Weather Service meteorologists.
The snow is not expected to last through Tuesday, which is expected to have temperatures between the low and high 40s.
