Providence Centralia Hospital supports nursing education

Providence Centralia Hospital has donated $50,000 to the Centralia College Capital Campaign and $50,000 to support nursing education.

The $50,000 will go to the capital campaign for the school’s new Science Center, which houses the School of Nursing. This establishes the Providence Centralia Center for Nursing. The money will be used to buy equipment for the nursing and science programs, according to Centralia College Vice President Steve Ward.

The other $50,000 will be put into an account in the Providence Centralia Foundation to fund scholarships for nursing students at Centralia College. The Sister Carolyn Koreski Nursing Scholarship Fund (named for a longtime Providence Centralia sponsor) will be established.
