Seattle police reported that a man was shot in the mouth Friday afternoon. At approximately 3:40 p.m. officers responded to a report of a man screaming and possibly being assaulted in the area of N.E. 140th Street and 30th Avenue N.E.
Officers were approached by a man covered with blood when they arrived on the scene. Seattle Fire Department medics transported the victim to Harborview Medical in Seattle where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police searching the area found a pellet rifle on the property of a resident in the 13700 block of 30th Avenue N.E. Officers surrounded the house and secured the area while the SWAT team responded to the scene. Swat officers did not find anyone inside.
Detectives plan to serve a search warrant on the residence as part of their ongoing investigation of the incident.
