A gunfight early this morning in a parking lot near 86th and Hosmer streets in Tacoma put two people in the hospital, according to Tacoma police.
Both victims are expected to survive, Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum said. “The last I heard it looked like they were going to make it,” Fulghum said at 1 p.m.
The shootings occurred at approximately 3:10 a.m., Fulghum said.
Four people suspected of being involved in the the fight were taken into custody at 96th and Pacific shortly after the shooting, Fulghum said, and they are being interviewed by police investigators.
The victims were taken by ambulance to Madigan Medical Center.
The incident was initially thought to be gang-related, Fulghum said, but now there is some doubt. “There are a lot of things about this that don’t seem to add up at this point,” Fulghum said. “Right now we’re just talking to people, trying to put all the pieces together.
