Northwest Regional Drug Task Force agents and Lynden police officers searched a home in the 8500 block of Bender Road Thursday, July 15, and allegedly found 150 marijuana plants, a small amount of methamphetamine and a homemade bomb.
Lynden police had received complaints in the last year about drug activity at the home. A drug task force agent was able to purchase marijuana inside the home from a resident three times, which provided the basis for the search warrant, Commander Rick Sucee wrote in an e-mail.
After finding the bomb when the warrant was executed Thursday, they called out the Bellingham Police Department's bomb squad to remove it for destruction, Sucee wrote.
Police arrested Jeffrey Wick, 39, on suspicion of dealing, cultivating and possessing marijuana, and possessing methamphetamine and the bomb.
