East King County troopers cited 85 drivers for speeding on Interstate 90 and Interstate 404 in just two hours on Saturday morning.
It was part of the Washington State Patrol’s efforts at ramping up enforcement over the Labor Day weekend. Troopers will be out in force targeting stopping speeders, impaired drivers and motorists without seat belts throughout the state.
A trip to see the Dave Mathews Band at the Gorge proved to be pricey for one fan. According to the release, the driver was stopped and ticketed twice - once by a trooper in Kittitas County and then on the return home by a King County trooper for driving 19 mph over the speed limit.
