Yakima man caught with 104 pounds of marijuana during traffic stop

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - An Oregon State Police spokesman says a state trooper found 104 pounds of marijuana when he made a traffic stop south of Klamath Falls.

Lt. Gregg Hastings says a Ford Explorer driven by 29-year-old Oscar Cruz of Yakima, Wash., drifted 3 feet over the center line of U.S. Highway 97 on Sunday afternoon. The trooper stopped Cruz for failing to travel within a traffic lane.

The investigation led the trooper to search the vehicle and find three large bags of marijuana with what police say is an estimated value of more than $250,000.

Cruz was booked into the Klamath County Jail for investigation of possessing, distributing and manufacturing marijuana.
