A South Hill man suffered a gunshot wound to his leg during an incident in the 9700 block of 156th St. E. Saturday morning.
The shooting was likely the result of a botched drug transaction, according to Pierce County Sheriff spokesman Ed Troyer.
Neighbors had earlier reported suspected drug traffic in the area, Troyer said.
Details concerning the man’s condition and the identity of any suspects were not available late Saturday.
