Man allegedly shoots woman who'd been arguing with his wife, Tacoma police report

Tacoma police arrested a 29-year-old man early today after he allegedly shot a woman who'd fought with his wife inside a South End apartment.

A group of adults had been drinking and hanging out in the apartment near South 90th and Hosmer streets early today, Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.

Two women got into a fight and were eventually separated. The husband of one of the women then reportedly got a gun and shot the woman who'd been fighting with his 27-year-old wife shortly before 2:30 a.m. The 23-year-old woman was shot in the leg, Fulghum said. Her injuries were not considered life threatening.

The husband showed up at Pierce County Jail shortly before 4:45 a.m. and turned himself in. He was booked into jail on suspicion of first-degree assault.
