Toledo police officers were dispatched to the report of a physical altercation involving student at the Toledo Middle School at 155 5th St. on Thursday.
According to the release, three Toledo High School students entered the building without permission and started a fight with a middle school student. The staff intervened immediately and there was no injuries.
The three high school students were released to their parents after questioning by police.
That evening, authorities learned of rumors circulating around the town of a possible retaliation at the middle school Friday.
Though the alleged threats were described as vague and ambiguous, the police and school district decided to close all three schools in Toledo for safety reasons.
Early Friday, police arrested the three high school students involved in the altercation yesterday and booked them into the Lewis County Juvenile Detention Center. A 14-year-old boy was booked on fourth-degree assault charges. A 14-year-old boy and 15-year-old boy were booked on criminal conspiracy charges.
