Would-be home robber stabbed in Spokane

The Associated Press

Police say a man with stab wounds and a friend who walked into a Spokane emergency room Wednesday were the suspects, not the victims of a crime.

The investigation determined the two had attempted a home invasion robbery, and one was stabbed in a struggle with the resident who called police. The would-be robbers left behind a shotgun.

Police say the two, ages 19 and 20, are gang members from Omak. They're jailed for investigation of assault and robbery.
