A Bremerton man accused of taking lottery tickets from the convenience store where he worked has been charged with theft.

Kitsap County court documents say 25-year-old Rodney Vincent Fernandez took books of lotto tickets and cashed the winners at other stores. His employer reports the losses totaled nearly $94,000.

The Kitsap Sun reports Fernandez was charged Wednesday in Port Orchard and has been released until his next court date in November.
