Hermiston A woman was found dead Wednesday afternoon at a Hermiston home and the man living there has been arrested in connection with her death, officials said.
Her identity was not released and investigators provided no details about how she died. The relationship between the woman and the suspect also was not specified.
Hermiston police Lt. Jason Edmiston said the suspect, Maurillo Lamas Sanchez, 45, was questioned and later booked into the Umatilla County jail on suspicion of murder.
Officers responded to a disturbance call at 1:45 p.m. at a mobile home at 1215 S.W. 11th St. and found the woman unresponsive inside the home, Edmiston said.

Hermiston Fire Department paramedics were called, but the woman was declared dead at the scene, he said.
Hermiston police were being assisted by the Oregon State Police, Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office, the Department of Human Services and the Oregon Department of Justice in the investigation.
