Tacoma man pistol-whipped during home invasion robbery

A Tacoma man was pistol-whipped today during a home invasion robbery at his house, police said.

Three teens broke into the home in the 3600 block of South Tyler Street about 11:45 a.m., said police spokesman Mark Fulghum.

One suspect was armed with a handgun. It was not immediately clear what, if anything, they took from the house.

Oakland High School was temporarily locked down while officers searched surrounding neighborhoods with a K-9 unit.

No one has been arrested
