Seattle police arrested a 47-year-old man Saturday after he thought he was meeting with an a "15-year-old girl" he had been conversing with online.
According to the report:
A vice detective was informed that the suspect was posting an online advertisement seeking a young girl. The detective, posing as a teenage girl, began corresponding with the man using an undercover e-mail account. Police said in several e-mail exchanges the man made incriminating statements of his intent to have sex with a minor.
Coincidentally, a detective assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce was also posing a young girl corresponding online with the same man.
The man went to a predetermined downtown location to meet with the "15-year-old girl." He was arrested without incident and booked into the King County Jail on charges for commercial sexual abuse of a minor and attempted rape of a child.
