Human skull discovered in Auburn ravine

A human skull was found today in a wooded ravine in Auburn, police said.

Sgt. Dave Colglazier said residents stumbled across the skull, which was recovered near South 292nd Street just west of the West Valley Highway.

After confirming that the remains were human, police turned the investigation over to the King County Sheriff’s Office because they have more resources.

No other details were immediately available.
