26-year-old man shot twice in leg while smoking on porch

The police said a 26-year-old man was shot twice in the lower leg while smoking a cigarette on porch at a house in South Seattle early Wednesday. The shooter is still at large.

According to the report:

Police responded to the report of a shooting incident in the 1800 block of 25th Avenue South around 12:20 a.m. Arriving officers found the gunshot victim sitting on the front porch. He told officers the assailant got out of a black car and began talking with him. The shooter reportedly reached back into the car and pulled out a gun, firing at the victim five times. The victim was hit twice, one round struck the house and the other two rounds could not be found.

The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Police searched the area but could not locate the suspect or car. Seattle gang detectives are also investigating the incident.
