Detectives believe evidence may link brothers to other crimes

PROSSER - A search for a suspect wanted on a probation violation may have led Benton County sheriff's detectives to evidence to help close some unsolved crimes.

Detectives served a search warrant Wednesday at a home at 166401 W. Old Inland Empire Highway in Prosser, looking for Jorge Albarran, 18, said Detective Erik Magnuson.

Albarran had a warrant for a probation violation for possessing a firearm.

The Tri-City Regional SWAT team was called out to help serve the search warrant and Albarran and his brother, Javier, were arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia, Magnuson said.

Investigators also found other items in the home that may link the brothers to other crimes in the area, he said.
