Snohomish County Prosecutor Mark Roe says a sheriff's deputy was justified in shooting an armed man near Lake Stevens.
Roe says Deputy Joshua Hostetter faces no charge for the Aug. 6 death of Shawn Larson.
The Daily Herald reports the deputy had pulled over Larson's pickup truck for erratic driving, and when the deputy approached he saw Larson had a gun in his hand. When he refused to drop it and raised it toward the deputy, Hostetter fired.
Investigators later found the gun was taped to Larson's hand.
