A 36-year-old Tacoma man was shot and killed early morning by another man in what Tacoma police believe was a drug deal gone bad.
The shooter is being sought. Police searched the area for the suspect but couldn't find him..
The shooting occurred about 5:15 a.m. inside a car in the area of South 38th Street and South Fawcett Avenue, according to police spokesman Mark Fulghum
Fulghum said a man and two women were in the car and pulled over on South 38th Street. Another man got into the car.
That's when the shooting occurred. The man who got into the car then fled the car and disappeared.
The two women called 911 and drove the man who had been shot to St. Joseph Hospital where he was pronounced dead, Fulghum said. The man was shot multiple times, he said.
The two women, who were not injured, are being interviewed, Fulghum said. He said he didn't know if police had a name for the suspect yet.
